Multi-Factor Authentication

Stronger Security for your CEnet Account

It's easier than you think for someone to steal your password.  Things that can put you at risk of having your password stolen are:
  • Using the same password for other sites or services.
  • People watching you type it in.
  • Sharing your password with others.
  • Downloading malicious software and content.
  • Clicking on bad links in email messages.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a way to help keep bad guys out, even if they do get your password.  With MFA (also know as 2-factor or 2-step authentication) you can protect your CEnet account with something you know - like your password, and something you have - like your personal device.
