Guiding Principles

These guiding principles provide a high level strategic guide for the management and operation of the Company. Each Member and Director holds to the following principles that will inform tactical and strategic decision-making at both the Member level and the Board level.

Evangelisation and Formation
  • We will utilise the Company as a shared vehicle for 21st century evangelisation and the formation of students, staff, families and schools across Member dioceses.
Learning and Teaching
  • All Company decisions will be made with a focus upon the improvement of learning and teaching.
Collaboration
  • The Members will work collaboratively for both the common good and for the demonstrated benefit of each individual Member.
Equity
  • In ensuring equality of outcomes for students and teachers, the principle of equity is both endorsed and supported by all the Members.
Connectedness
  • All Schools across all Member dioceses will be able to seamlessly communicate.
Content Sharing
  • Common learning application systems and repositories are to be used within the Company and made available to all Members.
Administration
  • We will strive to seek common solutions for administration across all Member dioceses.
Stewardship
  • All decisions will recognise the co-responsibility of each Member for the Company.
Subsidiarity
  • Decisions within the Company will be taken at the most appropriate level – Board, Member, School or user.
Best Practice
  • We will adopt best practices in risk management, security and continual improvement.
Value for Money
  • To gain synergy and to maximise return on investment, we will leverage numbers to gain economies of scale.
