CEnet is committed to managing personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and to protecting the privacy of personal information it collects, holds and administers (manages).

CEnet collects, holds and administers (manages) a range of information in both its internal operations and in the provision of services to members and customers. This information may be personal and may include health and other sensitive information regarding CEnet staff, directors, members and customers staff, clergy, students, parents/guardians and volunteers (stakeholders).

CEnet collects personal information only when authorised by its members and customers, for the primary function of delivering services to its members and customers. Personal information will only be used for a secondary purpose if the individual has consented or would reasonably have expected CEnet to use it; or disclosure is required to prevent serious and imminent threat to life, health or safety, or for other legal reasons.

CEnet is bound by laws which impose specific obligations when it comes to handling information and has adopted the standard principles within its Privacy Policy.
